From the WWE rumor mill:  WWE considering a women's Elimination Chamber match

The
The first ever Elimination Chamber match took place in 2002

Over the past year, the WWE Women's Division saw several groundbreaking firsts. The most notable are the first ever Hell In A Cell Match and Money In The Bank Ladder Match.

Ryan Satin and James McKenna of Pro Wrestling Sheet stated on their podcast that the WWE is considering the first ever women's Elimination Chamber match next year. The Elimination Chamber pay per view is Raw-branded and will take place on February 25th from Las Vegas, Nevada.

The Elimination Chamber is a six-person match where two competitors start off in the ring; while the other four are locked in pods at all four corners. During a specific time interval, the next wrestler is chosen randomly to enter the match. The ring is enclosed by steel and chains as well as a steel floor on the outside.

With the additions of Paige, Sonya Deville, and Mandy Rose last week to Monday Night Raw, the Women's Division is stacked with top talent such as Sasha Banks, Bayley, Nia Jax, Mickie James, Asuka, and the current Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss.

This speculation comes on the heels of a potential first-ever women's Royal Rumble match when the pay per view takes place from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on January 28th.

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for further information on both potential groundbreaking firsts for the Women's Division.
