According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, WWE is making a major hire. Long-time Impact Wrestling personality, Jeremy Borash is apparently leaving the company and heading to the WWE.

Several sources within Impact Wrestling confirmed to Johnson that Borash has given his notice to the promotion. Borash was backstage at the WWE events in Philadelphia over the past few days but was stated that he was just visiting some friends.

Word of the hiring got around backstage during Monday Night Raw last night. Prior to visiting the WWE in Philadelphia, Borash was doing commentary voiceovers for Impact Wrestling Thursday alongside filming footage at House Of Hardcore Friday for the company; which Johnson believes were his final duties with Impact Wrestling.

Borash was with the company since the beginning in 2002 and was basically the do-everything man. He's been a commentator, backstage interviewer, and even competed in the ring. Currently, he was the lead play-by-play announcer for the company.

Some of the most notable work came during the rise of "Broken" Matt Hardy. The special segments of the Hardy Compound, including Final Deletion, were directed by Borash.

Johnson cited Borash as the glue that would hold Impact together during some tumultuous times with the company. He was the one who the company could consistently count on to do anything, especially when Dixie Carter was in charge.

At the time of this writing, it is unknown what role Borash will have with the company. With Matt Hardy transforming into his "WOKEN" state, one could assume that one of the first duties for Borash is to direct the planned segments between Bray Wyatt and Matt Hardy from their respective compounds.
