From the WWE Rumor Mill: WWE may have planted the seeds for blockbuster match at WrestleMania 34

Kurt Angle, Jason Jordan,
Kurt Angle and Jason Jordan could be set to face off at WrestleMania 34.

What's the story?

Jason Jordan was supposed to team up with Seth Rollins to take on The Bar Monday night on Raw, but a last second decision was made to take him out of the match and put Roman Reigns in as his replacement. Angle and Jordan then got into an argument about the decision, which resulted in Angle telling Jordan to go home until he's better.

Jordan and Angle then engaged in a staredown with each other before Jordan finally relented and walked away.

In case you didn't know...

Jordan, who came to Monday Night Raw after being revealed as Kurt Angle's long lost son, is rumored to be dealing with a pretty serious neck injury right now, which could end up costing him a spot at WrestleMania 34 and keeping him on the sideline for a very long period of time.

Of course, things didn't look very good for Jordan after being pulled from the Raw Tag Team title match at the last second, but it is believed that Jordan is trying to rehab his neck and avoid surgery. If the former Smackdown Tag Team Champion is able to somehow recover in time for WrestleMania, it could give WWE a chance to set up a match between him and his father.

The heart of the matter

There are reports that the injury is so bad that it is causing Jordan to not be able to grip things with his hands, which is not a good sign and could mean he needs to have surgery in order to continue his WWE career.

If not, however, WWE seems to be teasing a match between Jordan and Angle at WrestleMania 34, especially after the way Angle and Jordan got into backstage on Raw. With that being said, hopefully Jordan is ready to go before WrestleMania 34 and is able to have the highlight match of his young career.

What's next?

The WWE Universe will have to keep a close eye on what Angle says about Jordan's condition on Raw and will have to look even closer at rumors in order to see when Jordan will be coming back to action. In the end, though, it might just be severe enough of an injury that takes him out of the match completely.

Authors take

Being a long time fan of Kurt Angle, and loving what WWE was doing with Jason Jordon on Raw, it's going to be really difficult to see WWE have nothing to show for it if Jordan is out for WrestleMania 34. This is literally the kid's moment to shine and a chance for him to establish himself as a big star, but it all gets ruined by one injury.

Hopefully Jordan is able to compete and have the moment he deserves; if not, he risks becoming an afterthought to the WWE when he finally does return from injury, and could even be let go due to WWE really having nothing for him to do. Sure, they could team him back up with Gable on Smackdown Live, but wouldnt he just be right back where he started?
