What’s the Story?

According to WWE Network News, the WWE Network will be adding a collection of shorts on Monday that have been exclusive to YouTube and social media platforms up to this point.

In Case You Didn’t Know...

The WWE Network was launched in 2014 and signified the end of their pay-per-view business with all WWE pay-per-views becoming exclusive to the network by the year 2016.

Since its launch, the network has added a variety of content from reality shows, animation, and collections of various moments in WWE history.

The last edition of the WWE Network of note was the collection of moments in the career of the late Bobby “The Brain Heenan” who passed away last Sunday at the age of 72.

The Heart of the Matter

The WWE Shorts will be a collection of all their WWE.com and YouTube short-form series that have been exclusive to those platforms thus far including shows like Game Night, Pop Question, My (Daughter or Son) is a WWE Superstar, and Superstar Ghost Stories.

This section is reportedly going to be similar to the WWE Quick Hits that was on the initial release of the WWE Network.

What’s Next?

WWE Network News also reported that the SouthPaw Regional Wrestling will be added to the WWE Network on Monday as well.

The WWE 2K18 roster reveal is also scheduled to air on the WWE Network. Thus, the company clearly plans on adding some different content to the Network heading into October.

The WWE will be adding more collections for October including collections on Hell in a Cell and soon to be Raw Superstar Asuka.

Author’s Take

The WWE has been putting in work trying to get more content for the network, but whether this will have any effect on Network subscriptions is highly unlikely as all of this content currently available on social media for free.
