From the WWE Rumor Mill: WWE SmackDown Live Women's Superstar to make return over next two weeks

What's the story?

According to CagesideSeats.com, it is speculated that the PUNderful Becky Lynch is likely to return to SmackDown Live either on the upcoming edition on the 26th of December or on the January 2nd episode.

In case you didn't know..

Lynch has been away filming the WWE Studios' Marine 6: Close Quarters, which she is starring in along with The Miz and WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels.

WWE wrote the inaugural Blue Brand Women's Champion off TV on the November 21st SmackDown Live after Survivor Series, when both Naomi and she were attacked backstage by the debuting Riot Squad (Ruby Riot, Liv Morgan, and Sarah Logan).

The heart of the matter

Lynch tweeted a warning out to the rest of the SmackDown Live Women's Division yesterday, which confirms that we will be seeing her back on SmackDown Live pretty 'soon'.

However, the fact that Lynch is presently back in her home country of Ireland for the Christmas festive period may mean it is unlikely we will see her on this Tuesday's SmackDown (December 26th), which will air from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, Illinois.

Although you can't rule it out that she won't make it back to the U.S. before then, I would realistically predict that we will see her again on SmackDown Live when the January 2nd show comes around.

What's next?

Whether it is this week or the week after, there is no doubt that Becky Lynch's return to SmackDown will see her confront The Riot Squad considering storyline-wise, they were who put Lynch out of action.

Lynch has even asked for the present of revenge against Riott, Morgan, and Logan from Santa Claus.

Also, it is almost a certainty that Lynch will announce her intentions to be in the historic FIRST-EVER Women's Royal Rumble (which takes place at the Royal Rumble PPV on the 28th of January). This match was announced by Stephanie McMahon on Monday's RAW,
