From the WWE Rumour Mill: 3 MITB ladder matches at Money In The Bank?

What's the story?

RingsideNews is reporting that we could be seeing a big change at Money In The Bank 2018. According to advertising ahead of the show, we could be getting more MITB matches on a single night than ever before. This could be the first time we get 3 MITB ladder matches on one night.

In case you didn't know...

Money In The Bank 2018 will take place on 17th June at Chicago, Illinois. Last year's Money In The Bank saw Baron Corbin and Carmella (with a lot of help from James Ellsworth) win their respective MITB matches.

Corbin tried to cash-in but was unsuccessful and John Cena mocked him about it at SummerSlam. Carmella on the other hand, was more patient and cashed-in on the night after WrestleMania 34, capitalizing on a beatdown by the debuting IIconics.

The heart of the matter

According to RingsideNews, we could be seeing as many as 3 Money In The Bank ladder matches at this year's MITB PPV. Although there is no confirmation regarding what the matches are, speculations suggest a RAW men's MITB match, a SmackDown men's MITB match and a cross-brand women's MITB match.

What's next?

The Money In The Bank PPV will take place on June 17th in Chicago, Illinois. The build-up for Money In The Bank starts tonight on RAW.

Author's take

3 Money In The Bank ladder matches seems like overkill. It dilutes the whole Money In The Bank gimmick having one for the men on each brand. Hopefully, this is one rumor that turns out to be false.
