From the WWE Rumour Mill: Illness affecting several Superstars to disrupt TLC pay-per-view?

Will the TLC 2017 pay-per-view card change due to illness?
Will the TLC 2017 pay-per-view card change due to illness?

What's the story?

Reports have surfaced that this Sunday's TLC pay-per-view could be disrupted as a large number of Raw stars are dealing with a viral illness, with the Bray Wyatt 'Sister Abigail' vs Finn Balor 'Demon King' match now in doubt.

In case you didn't know...

We reported earlier that the reason why Bray Wyatt, Bo Dallas and JoJo Offerman have been conspicuously off of Raw for the last few weeks is allegedly because of viral meningitis and that one of, if not all of them, are suffering from the illness.

However, we didn't know whether or that that was going to affect Bray Wyatt's match on Sunday.

The heart of the matter

The same Twitter account (Pro Wrestling Votes) that accurately reported on both Neville and Nia Jax's respective situations on Monday Night RAW, has now alleged via a series of tweets that more Superstars have contracted the illness and that there's potential for the TLC pay-per-view to be disrupted.

Pro Wrestling Votes then went on to suggest that TLC might be irreparably affected by this illness and, as a result, could be one of the worst pay-per-views the WWE has ever produced.

What's next?

If these reports are to be believed then TLC could be in a spot of trouble. Whilst a lot of people aren't hugely excited about the Bray Wyatt vs Finn Balor feud because of its lacklustre build, it's absence would leave an even bigger hole in an already thin card outside of the main event.

Author's take

This might explain why the TLC card has been padded out with three Cruiserweight segments and three women's matches, as well as an incredibly stacked main event.

Because the WWE are concerned that some of their stars might not be well enough to compete. Still, all of this is just pure speculation at this point, but if several WWE Superstars are indeed dealing with an illness, I wish them all a speedy recovery.
