What's the story?

According to a recent report from PW Insider, the two women's matches currently being planned for WrestleMania are Charlotte Flair vs Ronda Rousey for the SmackDown Women's Championship and Asuka vs Alexa Bliss for the RAW Women's Championship.

In case you didn't know...

The 2018 edition of WWE Royal Rumble just concluded Yesterday and was very well received by fans and critics alike. The event hosted not only the Men's Royal Rumble but also the first ever Women's Royal Rumble match featuring 30 female competitors from the active roster as well as a host of legends including Lita, Torrie Wilson and Trish Stratus.

The event also saw Ronda Rousey make an appearance after the end of the Women's Royal Rumble and pointed at The Wrestlemania sign hinting at a Title match at the event.

The heart of the matter

The women stole the show at Royal Rumble and will be looking to the same when it comes to Wrestlemania.

In the past, WWE have continued to book multi-women matches for Wrestlemania and it has been a long time since we have seen a one-on-one bout for a women's title at the grandest show. But, by the looks of things, all that is about to change with two one-on-one matchups scheduled for Wrestlemania.

What's next?

It looks like WWE are putting a lot of faith in Rousey going forward and we will be getting a dream match between the leader of the MMA horsewomen and WWE horsewomen, respectively.

Asuka and Alexa Bliss will also be a treat to watch going by the match they had on RAW some time back.

Author's take

The Women have proven time and again that the Women's Revolution is not just a slogan. Whenever given the right opportunities, the women have made the most of it just like at the Royal Rumble.

Although I feel that Superstars like Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch should not be left out of the Mania Title matches, I do feel these four women will put on great matches.
