#10 Asuka becomes the new SmackDown Women's Champion

Asuka was the most dominant superstar in NXT's women's division, and her record-breaking undefeated streak is a testimony of that. However, she could not make the same amount of impact on the main roster.
Apart from a few squash matches, there was nothing Asuka could do in the main roster and her undefeated streak came to an end at the hands of Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania 34.
R-Truth wanted to 'kill' former WWE writer. More details HERE
Asuka had her first pin-fall loss in the WWE against Carmella at BackLash after interference from a returning James Ellsworth. She will have another opportunity at the SmackDown Women's Championship when she faces Carmella at Extreme Rules.
Having James Ellsworth suspended above the ring inside a shark cage will be an advantage for the Empress of Tomorrow and this Sunday could be the day Asuka becomes the new SmackDown Women's Champion.
