It seems the outcome of WWE’s recent meetings with movie studios in LA, is a partnership with KISS frontman Gene Simmons. WWE Studios and Simmons are launching a joint production house called Erebus Pictures.

Variety is reporting that so far they have agreed to a 3 movie deal, starting with horror film Temple, which is already under the WWE Studios banner.

“The horror genre continues to fascinate me as it proves to be endlessly thrilling and engaging for audiences,” says former rocker Simmons.

“Horror films fall into a genre that thrives on genuine passion, and I believe this partnership truly capitalizes on that sentiment and supports our vision,” says WWE Studios President Michael Luisi.

Filming for Temple will begin the summer. The plot involves “a team of trained operatives who find themselves trapped inside an isolated military compound after their artificial intelligence is suddenly shut down. They then begin to experience strange and horrific phenomena.”
