What's the story?
According to SunSport, there have been increasing talks from WWE's end about possibly bringing a big PPV such as SummerSlam or WrestleMania to the United Kingdom.
In case you didn't know...
There have previously been rumours of WWE potentially coming to the UK for a big PPV. There is little doubt that they could pull off a SummerSlam at the very least, as their live shows in the UK always get tremendous attendance, whether it's RAW, SmackDown Live or regular Live Events.
For WrestleMania, Wembley Stadium may be the obvious choice. The last time a major PPV was held in the UK was SummerSlam in 1992, which was held at Wembley Stadium. The attendance was said to have been up to 80,000 people, the most attended WWE show till date, until WrestleMania 32, where approximately 83,000-90,000 people attended(though WWE says the figure for WM 32 is 101,000 people).
The heart of the matter
SunSport stated that there have been increased talks of hosting a SummerSlam or WrestleMania in the UK after increasing the overall number of shows per year in that region.
When once asked about possibly bringing a Big-4 PPV to the UK, Stephanie McMahon stated that the WWE always listens to its fanbase.
There is no doubt that attendance wise, a big PPV would do great in the UK. The main issue that WWE has is with time. If WWE were to host a WrestleMania in the UK, they would likely have to start the event very late at night or early in the morning in order for the United States audience to watch it at the regular time when PPVs are aired.
The biggest factor that may determine the possibility of a show of such a magnitude in the UK will undoubtedly be the logistics, but in WWE's current international expansion phase, never say never!

WWE is building up to No Mercy at the moment. WWE will only return to the UK for RAW and SmackDown Live around November, which is the second of their two annual tours of the UK.

WWE hosting a big PPV in the UK is a great idea and should happen at some time in the future. UK fans have a reputation for being loud with their signature chants and being an integral part of the show, in general. Can you imagine tens of thousands of rowdy fans, adding to the show?
