What’s the story?
Per Squared Circle Sirens - GFW star Rockstar Spud proposed to Mae Young Classic competitor Renee Michelle earlier this week. The happy couple announced their news to friends and followers via Facebook.
In case you didn’t know…
Renee is a super hot prospect on the US scene, having only been in the business for four years, she has won multiple titles, including the MCW women's title on three occasions.
She has also competed as far afield as India and Japan, where she was mentored by the legendary Chigusa Nagayo.
Rockstar Spud is a legend on the UK scene but is better known to US audiences for his time in TNA as the long suffering sidekick of Ethan Carter III as well as his X division exploits. Recently he has been portraying his younger self, making references to breaking into the business and even working as part of PROGRESS wrestling's ring crew.
The heart of the matter
The pair has been dating for some time, with Renee finally announcing the engagement via Facebook on September 8th. This follows on the back of her early exit from the MYC at the hands of another competitor who married within the business - Candice LeRae.
Although both maintain active Twitter accounts, it appears they wished to keep the announcement low-key.
What’s next?
No date has been set for the happy couple, and with Renee's WWE exposure one would think her calendar is becoming ever more crowded. Hopefully, things will be arranged sooner rather than later!
