WWE Rumours: Hideo Itami faces another injury hurdle

In a startling piece of news, WWE’s Japanese sensation Hideo Itami might be in for another spell on the sidelines after Wrestling Observer reported that the wrestler still hasn’t fully recovered from his lenghty injury yet – reports allwrestlingnews.com.

Itami has been out of action for over a year due to a serious shoulder complication that cropped up last May. Such was the extent of his injury that WWE stated in January that the wrestler was nowhere close to a comeback.

The wrestler returned to the ring for a six man tag team match at a NXT live event on June 30th, but it now seems that his comeback was a bit premature.

Rumours of the wrestler losing 10 to 15 pounds while on the sidelines are also doing the rounds.

Should the possibility of Itami taking another health sabbatical arise, then his second absence will undoubtedly come as a big disappointment to his fans, considering his obvious talent.

With the brand split in play, more and more NXT stars are being called to the main roster, which may leave a dearth of talent in the developmental side. The movement of talent is a golden chance for the remaining NXT stars to have their moment in the sun.

Here’s hoping Itami has his sooner rather than later.
