WWE Week is about to get underway! For those unaware, this is a special week of action presented by the USA Network which celebrates World Wrestling Entertainment. RAW and NXT will air on the network as they typically do, but they will be joined by Friday Night SmackDown.
Monday Night RAW will also be celebrating its season premiere. The card for RAW is looking stacked. Bret Hart will make an appearance, the Women's Tag Team Title will be on the line, a Fatal-Four-Way Match will determine a new number-one contender for the Intercontinental Title, and more will take place.
While there is certainly a lot to look forward to, that might not be all fans can enjoy. Triple H will want to take advantage of the buzz for such a big week by including major moments that fans will remember, and more importantly, stick around for going forward.
This article will take a look at a handful of big surprises that The Game could potentially book to make the RAW season premiere one to remember. This includes big returns, a debuting NXT star, and more.
Below are four surprises for WWE RAW's season premiere.
#4. The Rock could return to address his future
The Rock is one of the greatest WWE Superstars of all time and also has a successful career in Hollywood. After spending many years away from the ring, The People's Champion made a return early this year and went on to co-headline WrestleMania.
The Final Boss hasn't been seen on WWE television for around four months now. His last appearance was on the RAW after WrestleMania where he confronted Cody Rhodes and promised he would be back to take his belt.
Fast forward many months and The Rock is yet to return. While Cody isn't a member of the Monday Night RAW roster, The Final Boss could make a surprise appearance on the program knowing a lot of eyeballs will be on the show and promote a big return match against Cody. If nothing else, he could talk a little smack and get fans excited.
#3. Adam Pearce could be fired as General Manager
Adam Pearce is one of three General Managers in WWE. Triple H brought the concept back last year and put Pearce in charge of Monday Night RAW, Nick Aldis leads Friday Night SmackDown, and Ava heads up NXT.
Former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Adam Pearce is having a tough time on WWE Monday Night RAW. It seems as if there is some big incident every single week that requires medical help, security, and maybe even police intervention. Drew McIntyre, Bronson Reed, and others have created constant chaos.
It is clear that Adam has been unable to maintain control of RAW and this may lead to a Triple H appearance where he reveals that Pearce is fired as the RAW General Manager. From there, he could be replaced by Bret Hart, who will already be in the building, or even William Regal.
#2. Trick Williams could join Monday Night RAW
Trick Williams is one of the most popular singles stars in the history of WWE NXT. Fans always chant "Whoop That Trick" at the former NXT Champion and North American Champion while Booker T ad-libs on commentary.
Williams lost his NXT Championship in a Fatal-Four-Way Match earlier this year, but he's hoping to earn a new title opportunity. He will be going one-on-one with Pete Dunne on WWE NXT and the winner will battle Ethan Page on NXT's premiere on the CW Network.
While there is a chance Trick regains his prized title, he could also shock the world and show up as Monday Night RAW's newest signing. From there, Trick could pull double duty until he loses either this week or in October and move to the red brand full-time.
#1. Becky Lynch could return to WWE
Becky Lynch has helped redefine women's wrestling in and out of WWE. As The Man, Becky became one of the most popular female performers in the history of the company. She also captured numerous world titles and even headlined WrestleMania.
Sadly, Big Time Becks has been away from WWE television for quite some time. She lost the Women's World Championship to Liv Morgan at King and Queen of the Ring and proceeded to lose the rematch on the RAW after the PLE, too. Lynch's contract allegedly expired thereafter and fans have been waiting in hopes of seeing her back.
Monday Night RAW could see this big comeback finally happen after 105 days. The Man could return to either interject herself in the Women's World Championship scene or unite with Lyra Valkyria and Zelina Vega to take on the Pure Fusion Collective.
