Ric Flair made his WWE WrestleMania in-ring debut at WrestleMania VIII. Defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship, The Nature Boy would be defeated by Randy Savage. This marked The Macho Man's second WWE Championship reign of his career.

Lex Luger made his WrestleMania in-ring debut at the event emanating from Caesars Palace in Nevada. Lex Luger defeated former Intercontinental Champion Mr. Perfect during the PPV, marking his first WrestleMania with a victory.

WrestleMania X saw one of the greatest matches in the PPV's history as Shawn Michaels and Razor Ramon competed in the first-ever ladder match to determine the undisputed Intercontinental Champion.

The Bad Guy eventually left WrestleMania with the Intercontinental Title.

“The boyhood dream” came true at WrestleMania XII as Shawn Michaels defeated Bret “Hitman” Hart in a spectacular 60-minute Iron Man match to become World Heavyweight Champion for the first time. The Heartbreak Kid made an incredible zip-line entrance before the main event match.
