What’s the story?
Tamina and Lana have been demonstrating quite a unique relationship recently. At first, it was thought Tamina was the one who would be supplying protection to the Ravishing Russain but it turned out to be a much different scenario in the end.
Lana instead took Tamina under her wing and established a teacher/student relationship with Jimmy Superfly Snuka's little girl. Lana told Tamina she would teach her how to crush and it sounded like she meant business.
The Context
It doesn't hurt that Lana has plenty of experience with helping people learn how to crush as she was a predominant presence in Rusev's initial rise in WWE and he did quite well under her tutelage.
In all honesty, any dominating heel would be lucky to have Lana, especially if they could use the assistance on the microphone. Lana can hold a crowd with a grace, dignity, and despicable rhetoric in a way unique to her Ravishing nature.
Lana was off to teach Tamina the ways of crushing and she had her first demonstration on SmackDown Live this week. Lana didn't drop the crushing act one bit and it was just like riding a bicycle for her as she picked right up with the motivational orders. Lana really hadn't skipped a beat and Tamina looked impressive too as she tossed her enhancement talent around the ring.
Lana held onto the live mic to scream orders for Tamina to CRUSH and that's exactly what happened. Tamina won the match in no time and left her enhancement talent opponent laying in the ring to rethink some of her life choices.
The heart of the matter
As it turns out that enhancement talent has a name and it's Hayley Shadows. She's an indie wrestler who along with getting trampled in the ring by angry Samoan women also works a lot of dates around the region.
She's booked for a show this Friday in Hamilton, Ohio at a CWA show and on Saturday night in West Harrison, Indiana for another indie show.
Author’s take
It might sound strange for someone who doesn't understand the wrestling business, but being destroyed by Tamina was probably a highlight of her career.
Judging by the way she's apparently getting booked it doesn't appear as though Hayley Shadows will be slowing down anytime soon. So there are probably plenty more highlights to come.
