Impact Wrestling News: Brian Cage debuts on this week's episode of Impact Wrestling
What’s the story?
After airing several vignettes for the past few weeks, Lucha Underground star, Brian Cage, finally made his debut for Impact Wrestling during this week's episode of Impact.
In case you didn’t know…
Brian Cage’s first debut for Impact Wrestling took place back in 2012 when the promotion was still known as TNA. Cage’s first match on the Impact Zone, which took place almost six years ago, was in a losing effort against Robbie E.
The following year, Cage made another appearance on Impact, this time in a losing effort against Jay Bradley, and in 2014, Cage competed in a triple threat match against Seiya Sanada and Crazzy Steve which turned out to be his last match for the promotion at the time.
The heart of the matter
On the latest edition of Impact Wrestling, “The Machine” Brian Cage finally made his much-awaited in-ring debut in the Impact Zone, when he competed in a quick squash match victory and announced his arrival on the Impact Zone in devastating manner.
Considered as one of the most popular Independent wrestlers of all time, Cage is mostly known for his work with Indy promotion, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, where he is a former one-time PWG Tag Team Champion alongside Michael Elgin.
Other than his work on the Indy circuit, Cage is also known for his time with Lucha Underground, Pro Wrestling NOAH, and Lucha Libre Triple-A, who both have a working relationship with Impact Wrestling.
With the recent departures of EC3 and Bobby Lashley from Impact Wrestling, Brian Cage is destined to take reach the upper echelons of Impact Wrestling as he is likely to be in line for a shot at the Impact World Championship, currently held by Austin Aries.
I am a huge fan of Brian Cage and I think he already has elevated himself to become one of the top performers on the planet, thanks to his work on the independent scene.
