What’s the story?

Former Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion Sienna has revealed on Twitter she has been hospitalized earlier today, due to a blood clot in each of her lungs.

In case you didn’t know…

Allysin Kay aka Sienna made her Impact Wrestling debut in 2016 and is a former two-time Impact Wrestling Knockouts Champion. During her two year stint with Impact, she has been engaged in numerous top feuds against the likes of Rosemary, Jade, and Gail Kim.

In April of 2017, Sienna defeated Christina Von Eerie to win the GFW Women’s Championship, making her the first woman to have held the Impact Wrestling Knockouts Championship and the GFW Women's Championship at the same time.

The heart of the matter

Earlier today, former Knockouts Champion Sienna was hospitalized following the latest five-day course of Impact’s television tapings. 30-year-old Sienna had only wrestled on two occasions during the five-day tapings, as she first defeated Kiera Hogan on the January 12th taping which was followed by a defeat to Allie in a Knockouts Championship match on January 13th. However, Sienna was not seen in action after the 13th January tapings.

The former AIW Women’s Champion also shared the news on her official Twitter handle, as she revealed that she has suffered a blood clot in each of her lungs and won’t be competing in any sort of in-ring competition for a while. Additionally, Sienna also stated that despite her poor condition, she will continue to raise money for the Undie Run.

What’s next?

As of right now, there has been no word or update on Sienna’s condition or how long she will be out of action.

Author’s Take

Sienna’s condition currently seems very critical, and we wish her a speedy recovery. I also hope that upon her return to the Impact Zone, Sienna gets back into the Knockouts Title because she is someone who is totally capable of leading the Knockouts division from the front.
