What's the story?

Impact Wrestling superstar and former Knockouts Champion Rosemary was recently interviewed by Irish Mirror, during which she discussed a host of wrestling related topics including the current state of the Impact Knockouts Division.

In case you didn't know...

Rosemary made her Impact Wrestling debut in 2016 as part of a faction called Decay, which also included Monster Abyss and Crazzy Steve. The 34-year-old made her in-ring debut against veteran Gail Kim on 26th April 2016 and within a few months, Rosemary also won the biggest prize in the Impact women's division, as she became the new Knockouts Champion by defeating Jade in six sides of steel match.

Earlier in 2017, Rosemary turned face by aligning herself with Allie, as she began a storyline with her fellow Knockouts division star.

The heart of the matter

During her interview, Rosemary talked about the current Knockouts Division and also discussed regarding her relationship with Allie and her storyline with the 30-year-old.

On the Impact Knockouts Division:

Rosemary believes that it is time for the current women of Impact Wrestling to step up and fill in the gap left by Gail Kim, following her retirement. The 34-year-old then stated that the current Knockouts Division is going through a rebirth phase and it is up to the likes of Sienna, Laurel Van Ness, Allie, and Rosemary herself to take up the "veteran role".

On working with Allie:

Rosemary describes the current situation with Allie as "funny" because the two ladies have spent many years on the Indy scene as rivals but the former Decay member believes that her partnership with Allie has functioned really well so far and has also clicked well with the Impact fans.

It was later added by Rosemary that she and Allie know each other really well and she believes that she is better off as an ally to the former Shimmer Tag Team Champion, instead of being rivals with her.

What's next?

Rosemary's last major on-screen rivalry was against Taya Valkyrie when the two ladies were supposed to face off against each other at this year's Bound for Glory pay-per-view but the match got called off due to Valkyrie's visa issues.

Author's take

I think Rosemary is a tremendous wrestler and in my opinion, she can be the pioneer of the Impact Knockouts division and definitely holds the capability of becoming the new veteran in the Knockouts division.
