What’s the story?

On November 4th, Impact Wrestling tweeted out confirming the news that the “Red Wedding” match between Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary will not be taking place during the company’s Bound for Glory event set to take place on November 5th, 2017.

In case you didn’t know…

On September 7th, 2017, in an episode of Impact Wrestling, Valkyrie made her debut for the company when she attacked former Knockouts Champion Rosemary.

Since then both Rosemary and Valkyrie began their intense rivalry in which the former AAA Reina de Reinas Champion has been playing the role of a heel, opposing to Rosemary being the babyface.

The heart of the matter

Earlier this week, Impact Wrestling took to Twitter and confirmed the news that Taya Valkyrie will not be able to compete at this year’s Bound for Glory event.

Valkyrie was originally scheduled to face Rosemary in a first blood match which was termed as the “Red Wedding” but that match has now been called off. It was also reported by Impact that the Canadian native will also miss next week’s TV tapings for the company.

Impact claimed that the current circumstances beyond their control, due to which Valkyrie will not be able to make it to Canada for the BFG event this year.

The former Lucha Underground star herself then tweeted out by saying that she will be holding a live chat with all her fans on social media.

What’s next?

Taya Valkyrie herself has stated in her recent tweet that she will be back in the company in January of 2018. But, for now, it will be interesting to note if Impact is going to book Rosemary in any sort of match, come November 5th.

On the other hand, fans are still not sure about the fact that if Impact is going to go ahead and complete the unfinished rivalry between Taya Valkyrie and Rosemary in 2018.

Author’s take

Personally, I believe that the reason Taya is taking time off from the company could be related to her personal life. I think Impact made the right choice in pulling her off the Bound for Glory card as Valkyrie tries to solve this undefined problem.
