Scott Steiner's return set the internet on fire
Scott Steiner's return set the internet on fire

What's the story?

The man with the world's largest arms and shortest fuse is back in Impact Wrestling for another run. Scott Steiner was revealed to be Eli Drake's partner for the upcoming Redemption pay-per-view.

Steiner and Drake will team up to take on LAX for the Impact World Tag Team Championships at Redemption. Despite Alberto El Patron's departure, the card now looks stronger than ever.

In case you didn't know...

Scott Steiner is one of the greatest characters in wrestling, both in the tag team and singles department. With his brother Rick Steiner, he was a part of the Steiner Brothers tag team, a unit that won accolades both in WCW and WWE.

Steiner would go on to reinvent himself and adopt the 'Big Poppa Pump' and 'Freakzilla' gimmick, later during his WCW run. He's been an integral part of Impact Wrestling as well, teaming up with Josh Mathews for Slammiversary.

The heart of the matter

Eli Drake won a 'Feast or Fired' briefcase that allows him to challenge for the Tag Team Championships. He defeated Moose to win a briefcase for the World Championship too. Much to the shock of the champions LAX, Scott Steiner came forth as Drake's tag team partner. He had a live microphone and some strong words for Konnan:

Not one to back down from a promo battle, Konnan brought his A-Game to the dance as well. It must be noted that Steiner was also a part of Impact Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground recently.

What's next?

Two teams will collide for the Impact Wrestling Tag Team Championships. Only one name will come out on top. Who will it be?

Author's take

I'm a huge fan of Scott Steiner, having grown up with WCW. I'm definitely not going to miss out on this pay-per-view.

Let's hope Impact Wrestling hits it out of the park with Redemption.
