Pro Wrestling News:  Austin Aries' first appearance post-WWE scheduled for next month

Austin Aries was last seen in WWE at Extreme Rules in June 2017...

What's the story?

ECW legend Tommy Dreamer uploaded two posters on his Twitter account for the upcoming House Of Hardcore shows. On those posters is former WWE Superstar Austin Aries; which to my knowledge, is his first appearance since being released by the WWE this past July.

Check out Tommy's tweet below:

In case you didn't know...

Austin Aries started his pro wrestling career back in 2000 among various independent promotions among the East Coast. His big breaks came in 2004 for Ring Of Honor and in 2005 wrestling for the X-Division of TNA.

Aries is a six-time TNA X-Division Champion, as well as a world champion with TNA once and Ring Of Honor twice.

The heart of the matter

There are two shows next month that Aries will take part in. November 17th's show will take place in St. James, New York; while the next night will feature a show in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

Also scheduled to appear on the card are Billy Gunn, MVP, Joey Mercury, Petey Williams, Shane Douglas, Bull James (Bull Dempsey in NXT), and more.

Aries last match in the WWE was a losing effort to Neville at Extreme Rules this past June. There was speculation that WWE released him due to having a poor relationship with writers and those backstage in the WWE.

What's next?

These House of Hardcore shows appear to be what's next for Aries. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for further updates on his post-WWE career.

Author's take...

It's good to see Austin Aries back wrestling again. I was a little disappointed to hear that he would no longer be with WWE, earlier this year, because I'm such a big fan of his work.

Hopefully he can resurface in Ring Of Honor, Impact Wrestling, or even Lucha Underground down the road. He is such a tremendous wrestler.

What makes Sting special? His first AEW opponent opens up RIGHT HERE.
