Indie News: James Ellsworth and Emma to appear on the same indie show

James Ellsworth and Emma have quite the following in the pro wrestling world

What's the story?

A relatively new indie promotion, Bar Wrestling, announced on their Twitter account that former WWE Superstars James Ellsworth and Emma will be appearing on an upcoming show. Take a look at their tweet below:

In case you didn't know...

Bar Wrestling was established in Los Angeles, California in 2017. In the short time they have been in business, wrestlers such as Pentagon Jr., Brian Cage, Eli Drake, Billy Gunn, Candice LeRae, Taya Valkyrie, and Willie Mack have competed for the promotion.

The heart of the matter

One can imagine that tickets will go fast for the 22 February show since it features two recently released WWE Superstars. The WWE released James Ellsworth on 15 November; while Emma was released on 29 October.

Ellsworth has wrestled professionally since 2002 and got his shot in the WWE as a jobber who was destroyed by Braun Strowman. He started to gain a cult following and the WWE brought him back in a program with AJ Styles before signing him to a deal officially.

Emma made her professional wrestling debut in 2007 and would wrestle a few years in the indies before signing with the WWE in 2011. She would wrestle for Florida Championship Wrestling and NXT before being called up to the main roster in 2014.

What's next?

Emma has been booked left and right for indie promotions since her release, and Ellsworth will be able to start making indie appearances from 12 February. Many stars have progressed well in their pro wrestling careers after leaving WWE. The same be in store for both Emma and Ellsworth.

Author's take

Both of these wrestlers are very popular, so I think it'll be a treat for those who are in attendance to witness not only Emma but also the first post-WWE appearances for Ellsworth.

Though Bar Wrestling is a fairly new promotion, when taking a look at their past shows, it looks like they're loaded with talent from Impact Wrestling, Lucha Underground, and everywhere else.
