EC3 as ECJustice3...Sid Justice may have some serious competition

What’s the story?

EC3 dressed up as former WWE Champion Sid Justice as a replacement for the latter.

Absolute Intense Wrestling (AIW) revealed yesterday that Sid won’t be able to appear at their event, following which EC3 filled in as ECJustice3. Besides, there appears to have been not one but two replacement Sids at the event—

In case you didn’t know…

Sycho Sid aka Sid Vicious aka Sid Justice was scheduled to make an appearance to the aforementioned AIW event, however, per a statement sent out by the promotion, Sid was unable to make the trip to Cleveland.

The promotion stated that the reason given by Sid for his no-show was the travel ban imposed by US President Donald Trump which disallowed him from boarding a flight to Cleveland over an unpaid parking ticket on his name.

The heart of the matter

Nevertheless, AIW ensured that the fans get to watch Sid Justice, albeit in some form or another, owing to which EC3 served as a last-minute ‘Sid’ replacement.

The former TNA World Heavyweight Champion donned the traditional Sid Justice gear, signed autographs and posed for pictures with the fans.

Furthermore, EC3 also sported a blonde wig, much like Sid in his prime—much to the delight at fans in attendance at the Absolute Intense Wrestling event.

What’s next?

Per the vast majority of professional wrestling experts, EC3 is expected to sign with the WWE very soon.

On the other hand, Sid Justice is yet to provide an official statement on his travel troubles.

Author’s take

Well, it wasn’t the real deal, but one has to applaud EC3 for putting forth his best Sid impression; as well as commend AIW for handling the situation with class.

Whatever Sid’s issues may be, here’s hoping they get sorted out at the earliest. Justice will be served.
