What's the story?

Jerry Lawler did a fantastic job kicking off WrestleMania weekend in style by majestically hosting the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony. However, he was in the news for yet another reason, this weekend.

Lawler shot a fireball at independent wrestler Joey Ryan's private parts. Needless to say, the video went viral across the internet.

In case you didn't know...

WrestleCon is one of the special attractions at New Orleans during WrestleMania weekend. Jerry Lawler was down for WWE related activities anyway, and decided to do something special with Joey Ryan.

Lawler is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, and also a man who transitioned seamlessly into the role of an announcer after his in-ring career came to an end. Joey Ryan is one of the most infamous professional wrestlers in the independent circuit, who performs incredible feats of strength with his genitals.

The heart of the matter

When the two men squared off, we knew something incredible would go down. This came in the form of a fireball, that hit Ryan right in the region that makes him the most amount of money. The crowd popped big time for this and as a result, this clip has gone viral online.

Much like Ryan, Lawler has used the fireball as part of his gimmick for many decades now. It was certainly interesting to see the two gimmicks come together and play out in this interesting manner.

What's next?

Jerry Lawler will call some of the action at WrestleMania. Joey Ryan will continue to be a sensation in the independent circuit. WrestleMania 34 will be bigger than we could imagine!

Author's take

Quite often, we forget that wrestling is not a sport and that entertainment constitutes a significant portion of it. Incidents like these are worthwhile reminders.

I'm not the biggest Joey Ryan fan, but hey, sometimes you have to do certain things to get over with the internet wrestling crowd.
