On October 11th, 2017, WWE decided to fire Jimmy Jacobs who was working for the promotion as one of their creative writers due to Jacobs clicking a selfie with the Bullet Club during their Monday Night Raw "invasion". Jacobs was part of Vince McMahon’s promotion for well over two years and was one of the most creative writers in the company as well. He is also the creator of Chris Jericho’s list—The List of Jericho.

Jacobs is also known for his in-ring work with ROH, AAW, and also previously worked for IWA Mid-South from 2002-2009. He is also the former tag team partner of Seth Rollins during their ROH days and is a five-time ROH tag team champion. Jacobs has also held the wXw Heavyweight Title, XICW Heavyweight Title, Prime Heavyweight Title and much more.

The heart of the matter

Earlier this week, Jimmy Jacobs stepped into the ring with Aaron Williams in his pursuit to capture Williams' IWA Mid-South Championship.

“The Zombie Princess” managed to defeat Williams following an interference from Ace Perry, who helped Jacobs in capturing the title after he [Perry] spiked Williams and cost him the match.

This was the second time Jacobs captured the IWA Mid-South Title and was also his first championship win since leaving WWE.

What’s next?

Jimmy Jacobs is now currently focused on his career in the Indy scene. The 33-year-old made his debut for Wrestlecircus earlier this year and challenged Sami Callihan to a match. Jimmy Jacobs will next go to war against Jimmy Havoc in IPW: UK, in a dream match coming true. He will also soon challenge Rey Fenix for the AAW Heavyweight Championship.
