What's the story?

29-year-old Indy Wrestler Jasper Davis, was earlier today arrested for the alleged murder of his girlfriend, Jeniffer Nicole Mamo. The Authorities have responded by stating that Davis killed Mamo by using his gun, which apparently went off accidentally and resulted in the murder.

In case you didn't know...

Jasper Davis is an American wrestler who has been working on the current Independent scene for various local promotions based in Texas. Davis has previously also worked for WWE Hall of Famer Booker T's wrestling promotion, Reality of Wrestling, where he won the ROW Heavyweight Champion and also was two-time ROW Tag Team Champion.

"The Hammer" has also represented the National Wrestling Alliance, in the past and has held the NWA Junior Heavyweight Championship on two different occasions. In 2012, Davis also participated in the TNA Gut Check competition, which took place in June of that very year.

The heart of the matter

Earlier this week, Jason Davis was arrested due to his connection to the murder of his 24-year-old girlfriend Jennifer Davis Mamo. It has been reported by investigators that Davis and Mamo were out at a party and the couple got into a fight, as Mamo accused Davis of flirting with another woman at a bar.

However, according to Davis, the argument between him and his girlfriend eventually led to Mamo grabbing a gun during the fight and it was accidentally fired by him when he tried to take away the gun from his girlfriend. The court documents have revealed that Mamo was shot in the face by the former ROW Heavyweight Champion and eventually led to the death of the 24-year-old girl.

Prosecutors have revealed that Davis tried to dump the dead body of his girlfriend in a nearby water stream but, got his car stuck in the creek as he called a friend for help. However, once Davis' friend arrived on the scene he immediately refused to offer any sort of help and called 911. Authorities would then break into Mamo's home on Archer Glen and would find Mamo's 7-month-old child, who was in the very same room where her mother was murdered.

It was later reported that the toddler was not injured or harmed.

What's next?

It seems like Jasper Davis' wrestling career might very well be over and any Independent promotions might not book "The Hammer" anymore. However Davis has bigger problems and will probably be sent to prison for a number of years.

Author's Take

Davis murdering his girlfriend in cold blood is just a sad situation, I hope that the authorities make the right decision and sentence Davis to jail.
