WWE News: James Ellsworth's T-Shirt is a top seller, possible huge Pay Per View spot ahead

James Ellsworth prepares himself for the biggest match of his life against AJ Styles

In July, WWE broke Braun Strowman away from the Wyatt Family stable, as he was drafted to the Raw brand. In the attempt to make him a dominant heel, Strowman began to defeat jobbers, or “enhancement talent” on a weekly basis.

On his path to dominance, one of the talents that he ploughed through was a wrestler named James Ellsworth. Strowman had absolutely no problem getting past Ellsworth, who is half his size, in a very easy fashion.

Since then, Ellsworth is now one of the biggest merchandise sellers on the wweshop.com website, as his fame continues to grow. He's even surpassed the likes of Goldberg and Dean Ambrose when it comes to merch sales.

The 31-year-old Ellsworth made waves in the professional wrestling world, and immediately gained popularity among fans. In an interview with wwe.com, Ellsworth explained how he has been an avid fan of wrestling all of his life, and he just wanted an opportunity.

[I’ve been watching] my whole life. I’m 31 years old, and ever since I can remember, I’ve been watching wrestling. I’ve watched every episode of Raw since it debuted in January of 1993. And to actually get to perform on Raw was a dream come true.

Ellsworth would appear again on WWE television after losing to Strowman. This time, as a teammate of AJ Styles. This, however, was thwarted by The Miz, as Ellsworth was attacked as he was coming to the ring.

However, he received yet another opportunity to appear on WWE television. This time, as an opponent of Styles, with Dean Ambrose as the special guest referee. Shockingly, Ellsworth defeated the WWE World Champion, with the help of Ambrose. This gained him a world title shot, which was the recent main event on SmackDown.

Ellsworth gained yet another victory on Styles, this time by disqualification. This momentum appears to be leading to an opportunity to compete at one of the biggest pay per views of the year. According to 411Mania, Ellsworth may grace television screens as an entrant in the 2017 Royal Rumble at the Alamodome in San Antonio, TX.

While Ellsworth has virtually no chance of winning any major championship in the WWE, he is living out what so many independent professional wrestlers dream to do. The 14-year veteran is a testimony of what happens when someone does not give up on what they love, even if it seems as if the odds are against him.

Right now, interestingly, the enhancement talent became a main event star, seemingly overnight.
