What’s the story?

At WWE’s initial Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, we witnessed numerous amazing spots throughout the course of the entire evening, but two of the most memorable spots of the evening arguably belong to both Jinder Mahal and Titus O’Neil’s hilarious botches.

Following the two incidents, both Mahal and O’Neil have now reacted to their embarrassing and hilarious moment at the King Abdullah International Stadium.

In case you didn’t know…

After losing the WWE United States Championship to Jeff Hardy last week, former WWE Champion Jinder Mahal earned his rematch for the US Title last night in Saudi Arabia, as ‘The Modern Day Maharaja’ aimed towards becoming a two-time US Champion.

Mahal, despite keeping up with Hardy in terms of in-ring psychology, failed to win back the United States Championship.

On the other hand, O’Neil was part of the first ever 50-man Royal Rumble match, which was won by The Monster Among Men Braun Strowman, who made history by eliminating a total of 13-men during the Rumble match.

The heart of the matter

As noted, during Mahal’s match with Hardy, The Modern Day Maharaja was at the centre of a hilarious botch as we witnessed a spot where Hardy attempted to hit the Whisper in the Wind.

This was without realising the fact that Jinder Mahal was apparently out of position, however, despite that, The Modern Day Maharaja decided to sell Hardy’s high-flying move and all of it ended in a big hilarious botch fest.

Following Mahal’s botch, he took it to the social media in order to address the situation, as the former United States Champion humorously claimed that he was playing possum.

Later in the evening, we witnessed another botch, which will arguably go down as one of the most hilarious and iconic Royal Rumble entrances of all time, as O’Neil did this during his entrance at the GRR:

Following Titus’ hilarious botch, almost everyone from the entire wrestling world reacted to the amusing entrance and Titus himself also had this to say:

What’s next?

Following the conclusion of The GRR, the WWE superstars are now all set to make their return to the US as part of their respective brands, that is, Raw and Smackdown.

Author’s Take

Both Mahal and O’Neal's botches were absolutely hilarious, especially the latter, however, it is definitely great to see that O'Neal did not injure himself in a serious manner, considering the fact that he could’ve hurt himself really bad in that situation.
