In another case of a social media faux pas, AEW Wrestler Joey Janela tweeted out that he won't be attending AEW Dynamite and then deleted the tweet. While Janela was not slated to attend the Nov. 27th episode of Dynamite, the deleted tweet may have insinuated that there were tensions between him and management.
The last AEW fans saw of Joey Janela was at the recent Battle Royale on Nov. 20th where he was eliminated by Shawn Spears, who interfered in the match. The two have been engaged in an ongoing feud since AEW Full Gear.
With regards to the deleted tweet, the content seemed to imply there were issues at play behind the scenes. It said,
"Didn't get on my flight for AEW Dynamite tonight, I'm not going...Nothing was addressed about the way I was eliminated from the match last week, I'm losing all the steam I created on my own through 14 years of hard work, right these wrongs and answer the phone."
It's unclear whether this is a work or there are actual issues between Janela and management. It will be interesting to see if Janela does show up tonight. Eventually, AEW fans will have a clearer picture in the weeks to come.
