The rivalry between Johnny Nitro and Jeff Hardy continued for the better part of 2007 as MNM faced The Hardy Boyz in a tag-team match at the 2007 WWE Royal Rumble.

The match between the two teams was a visual treat for the fans, especially the in-ring chemistry between Jeff Hardy and Johnny Nitro.

After a back-and-forth high-octane match between the two teams, it was The Hardy Boyz who came out on top after Matt Hardy hit Nitro with the Side Effect and the Twist of Fate followed up by a Swanton Bomb from Jeff Hardy with Jeff scoring the pinfall over Nitro.

Although Nitro and Mercury came up short, this match was one of the best of the night and Nitro was lauded by fans and pundits from the wrestling industry for his performance.

#3 John Morrison (c) vs. Dolph Ziggler for the Intercontinental Championship [WWE Hell In A Cell 2009]

After splitting up from MNM and changing his ring name to John Morrison as a tribute to The Doors singer Jim Morrison with whom he bears a striking resemblance, John started having the best time in his career as a singles competitor.

In 2009, Morrison defended his Intercontinental title against Dolph Ziggler.

Although Ziggler put up a valiant effort and showcased his physical prowess, a resilient Morrison pinned The Showoff with the Starship Pain to secure the victory thereby retaining his Intercontinental title.
