H
He'll be ready

What's the story?

Kenny Omega's hard hitting style is known the world over but it looks like taking it to the top level caught up with The Cleaner's knee. He will have to miss some shows but plans to be ready for a big match on the 24th of this month. Omega is giving fans an update on his progress.

In case you didn't know...

Kenny Omega is one of the biggest attractions for New Japan Pro Wrestling. His incredible matches showcase his ability to engage audiences and tell amazing stories in the ring. But his momentum seemed to come to a halt recently when he sustained a knee injury.

NJPW announced on Wednesday, September 6th that Kenny Omega had suffered a left meniscus injury. This setback will cause Kenny to miss most of New Japan's Destruction tour.

The heart of the matter

Even though Kenny Omega is currently out of action with an injury, he is still set to defend his IWGP United States Championship against Juice Robinson at the Kobe show on September 24th. But this doesn't give Kenny a lot of time to heal.

Omega recently posted a photo with an update of his recovery progress. Apparently, it's going well for The Cleaner. He said the road to recovery is short but he'll be ready for Robinson in Kobe.

What's next?

Kenny Omega will probably make it back to the ring in time and wrestle a great match against Juice Robinson. Kenny Omega is living his dream and will hopefully continue to perform at an Elite level for years to come.

Ever since leaving NXT in 2015 Juice Robinson has proved himself a viable competitor in New Japan. His matches during the G1 Climax really impressed a lot of people. He'll be worth paying attention to for a long time as well.

Author's take

Hopefully, Kenny Omega will be ready by the time the Kobe show rolls around. It would be a shame if he didn't get to mix it up with Juice Robinson because those two will probably create some magic in the ring.
