WWE News: Kurt Angle praises Neville and forsees a bright future for the English wrestler

Neville joined the WWE in 2012

What’s the story?

Kurt Angle hosted a Q&A on his Facebook page recently and lavished high praise on Neville and said that 'The New Sensation' could cross over to the heavyweight division.

In case you did not know...

Neville spent many years on the independent circuit before signing with the WWE. He performed for a wide range of promotions including New Japan Pro Wrestling, Impact Wrestling, and Ring of Honor before signing up to WWE in 2012.

His first main event level title came in NXT where he became the NXT champion by defeating Bo Dallas in a ladder match at NXT Arrival back in February 2014.

The heart of the matter

During the Q&A session on his Facebook page, Kurt Angle mentioned that Neville is a mid-card talent that he sees as a future main eventer. Angle praised Neville for his wrestling skills and character and also compared Neville with Rey Mysterio.

“I really like Neville. He has the ability to cross over from the 205 division to the HWT division. He’s so talented as a wrestler, and his character is strong. He can speak very well and his style will mesh well with the heavyweights. Almost like Rey Mysterio was able to mesh with the big boys. Neville is very talented.” Angle said.

What’s next?

Neville is the reigning Cruiserweight champion but it is unlikely to see him move to the heavyweight division anytime soon. In the future, Neville might be able to climb up the ladder, but it could be a slow process.

Author’s Take

It is about time that someone pointed out the talents of Neville. He has been excellent after his move to the Cruiserweight division. Neville becoming a main eventer would be a long shot, but the praise from Kurt Angle is something worth celebrating, for him.
