Perched on The Top Rope Podcast were recently in Syracuse, New York, and interviewed the WWE Hall of Famer, Lita.

Lita's known for her time in WWE managing Essa Rios, The Hardy Boys, and Edge (all were champions with her as their manager). She would go on to become a singles competitor. She's credited for having the first two all women's main events on Monday Night RAW in 2000 against Stephaine McMahon and 2004 against Trish Stratus, both of which she won. Lita was a part of the first-ever women's Steel Cage Match way back in 2003 where she faced Victoria. After her retirement, Lita was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2014.

Here is the interview below with audio at the end.

SK: What's it like to be back in Syracuse, New York, and be here at Salt City Comic-Con?

Lita: So, from what I gather, I think it was 2003 that I was here last. At least in front of the camera. People here have said they've met me here before. So, its been quite a while. It's been awesome. The fans are super stoked. It's hard to set the bar when a four-year-old dresses up in your main event gear. She's the winner of the day. That's who I'll remember most from Syracuse, but everyone's been super awesome.

SK: How did you find out you were going into the WWE Hall of Fame, and what was that day like for you?

Lita: I was pretty checked out at that point. I had retired about seven years before and was doing my own thing. I was down in Nicaragua a little off-grid, and the office kept calling. I was like, "What could they possibly want?" Well, they gave me the news.

It was funny because other years I had speculated, "Oh, I wonder who's going to go in this year?" Not thinking me, but there's always the questions of who's going to go in. I wasn't even thinking about it that year. When it was the farthest thing from my mind, that's when it was my time.

SK: What was it like to be part of Women's Evolution, the first all-women's pay-per-view?

Lita: Coming to Evolution, what like last October, I think, almost a year ago. It was cool; we had a little taste with the Royal Rumble just to kind of feel all the women together in one place, it felt really powerful. It was fun. It felt more like a reunion more than anything else. There were a lot of girls I hadn't seen, and of course, the current roster I became friends with when I was producing them.

It was a tag match with Trish. It was just a 'go out there and have a fun' match. It was a great way to kick off the show, and then all the pressures off. We had fun. Then we could sit back and watch our friends and other women in wrestling. It was fun, and we had a great time.

SK: The year prior, you were part of the women's Royal Rumble. What was that like?

Lita: Yeah, the year before. That was a quick little pop in and out. That was another unexpected thing that I was not expecting to be in.
