Lucha Underground celebrated 100 episodes this week.

The historic 100th episode of Lucha Underground was packed with big moments. Rey Mysterio got destroyed during and after the main event, in what could be his last match for the promotion.

After some recaps from last week, Ricky Mandell showed Johnny Mundo a driver's license that read "Ricky Mundo." Even though he already changed it legally, Johnny told him that there was only one Mundo in The Worldwide Underground.

This was the 100th episode of Lucha Underground. The original Mundo said that he planned on taking Prince Puma to Slamtown during their multi-man tag match, which opened the show.

#1 Johnny Mundo, Taya, PJ Black & Marty "The Moth" Martinez vs. Prince Puma, Cage, Sexy Star, & Fenix (Atomicos Match)

Ricky Mandell tried to explain his name change on the microphone during the ring introductions. Johnny didn't appreciate this so he benched Ricky and subbed in Marty The Moth.

This was a fast-paced tag match that helped further multiple storylines. The announcers made it a point to mention that Taya and Sexy Star are nemeses, which currently is truer outside of kayfabe than on screen.

Johnny Mundo and Prince Puma had some good interactions down the stretch. Even Jeremiah Crane snuck to ringside to steal Cage's Power Glove, which was used to brutally murder Councilman Delgado a few episode back.

The winning pinfall came after Mundo connected with his off the top rope End of the World maneuver to Prince Puma.

Result: The Worldwide Underground won via pinfall

After the match, Marty acted pervy to Melissa Santos. She defended herself with several aggressive slaps, which then set up a vicious Superkick by Fenix.

Jeremiah Crane arrived in the presence of Catrina in a backstage segment. He insinuated that he wanted a kiss in exchange for The Gauntlet (the actual name of Cage's Power Glove). Mil Muertes showed to cause a wild brawl before Jeremiah got what he wanted. Cage also showed up to stop Catrina from simply stealing The Gauntlet.

Cage revealed that the glove somehow prevented her from using her teleportation abilities. The three men eventually brawled with each other before Dario Cueto snuck in and stole The Gauntlet himself.

Mariposa & Marty "The Moth" Martinez will take on Fenix & Melisa Santos on next week's episode.

#2 Dragon Azteca, Jr. vs. Pentagon Dark (Aztec Medallion Match)

While this could've gone a little longer, this contest was filled with several exciting highlights. Azteca connected with a wild corkscrew attack off the top rope to the outside of the ring as well as a hurricanrana off of an elevated stage area among the crowd.

Later inside the ring, Azteca took out Pentagon with one of those amazing Satellite DDTs he has in his arsenal. Pentagon was able to get his opponent to slip up on the top rope, leading to a Package Piledriver and the winning pinfall.

Result: Pentagon Dark won via pinfall, gaining an Aztec Medallion

Post-match, Pentagon threatened to break Dragon Azteca's arm. Before he could do that, Matanza Cueto came out to stare him down. Dario Cueto talked his brother down from getting physical with Pentagon but that didn't stop him from pummeling Azteca. Rey Mysterio then came out to thwart any further attack.

#3 Rey Mysterio vs. Matanza Cueto

As soon as Lucha Underground returned from commercial break, Rey charged at Matanza to begin the fight since they were already at ringside from the previous match.

There was early brawling outside of the ring. Rey hit an impressive Code Red to Matanza off the second turnbuckle. Dario's brother brought a chair into the ring but instead ate a couple of drop kicks as well as a 619 with the steel assist. Matanza then hurled the chair into Rey's legs as he attempted a springboard move. Matanza finished up with the Wrath of the Gods for the win.

Result: Matanza Cueto defeated Rey Mysterio

Matanza gave Mysterio another Wrath of the Gods after the match. He then wrapped a chair around his neck before ramming the Lucha legend into a corner post twice. Matanza then carried his opponent backstage over his shoulder while Matt Striker speculated about a possible sacrifice on commentary.
