Lucha Underground Season 3 Episode 24 Results (6/28): Jeremiah Crane takes on Killshot in Round One of the Cueto Cup

#3 Joey Ryan vs. Taya in Round One (Group-C) of the Cueto Cup Tournament

Ryan started the match by oiling himself and then offered the lollipop to Taya, but she knew better and attacked Ryan. Ryan regained control after hitting Taya with a Thrust Kick on the apron. Ryan then worked her for a few minutes before getting slammed after unsuccessfully hitting a top rope dive.

Taya tried a corner splash but missed. She then got caught in the ropes, thus allowing Ryan to spank her. Ryan positioned her in for an Electric Chair Drop, but Taya got out of it and hit him with a Northern Lights Suplex before hitting him with a Double Foot Stomp for the win.

Result: Taya def. Joey Ryan

Backstage, Mil Muertes, all dressed up in a suit, prepared to leave the temple, but Crane emerged from out of nowhere and then walloped him with a steel chair. Crane then stood over Muertes and declared that Catarina belonged with him before hitting Mil on his neck with a modified conchairto.


#4 Jeremiah Crane vs. Killshot in Round One (Group-C) of the Cueto Cup Tournament

The two men started brawling outside the ring. The action spilt into the crowd after Crane threw Killshot into bleachers, but Killshot landed on his feet and somersaulted onto Crane.

However, Crane soon turned the tables by smashing Killshot on the steel grates outside the ring before suplexing him onto the concrete floor. Crane set Killshot on a chair before hitting him with a cannonball.

The fight returned to the ring, and Killshot gained the upper hand on Crane by using a variety of high-flying moves. Both men went back and forth before Crane hit Killshot with a devastating kick.

Crane attempted another kick, but Killshot countered with a Cutter. After a bunch of counters and reversals from both men, Crane hit Killshot with a Reverse Brainbuster for a near fall. After the near fall, both men went all out with Leaping Knee and Leg Strikes before knocking each other out.

Killshot regained consciousness and hit Crane with a Hangman's DDT before trapping Crane in a Short-Arm Scissors Submission. Crane escaped the hold after catching the ropes. They battled on the ring apron, wherein Killshot tried leaping onto Crane, but Jeremiah reversed it and dropped Killshot onto the outside.

Killshot hit Crane with his finisher for a near fall. Dante Fox interfered in the match by calling out Killshot from the rafters of the temple. Crane used this distraction to hit Killshot with his finisher for the three-count.

Result: Jeremiah Crane def. Killshot


Post-match, while Crane celebrated in the ring, the lights went out momentarily before turning on again. Catarina was seen standing on the steps of the temple. She stared down at Crane, who blew her a flying kiss.

Dario Cueto was in his office looking at the updated leaderboard of the Cueto Cup Tourney. He was informing someone about the upcoming matches in the D-Block of the tournament.

At first glance, the person seemed like Son of Havoc, but later it was revealed that it was actually, Son of Madness. Son of Madness hails from the same location as Son of Havoc, however, his relationship with the former Lu Trios Champion remains unknown.
