Without Charlotte by his side, did Balor and Banks shut down Roode?

This week's edition of the Mixed Match Challenge had the returning team of Finn Balor and Sasha Banks taking on Bobby Roode and a mystery partner, after it was revealed Charlotte would not be able to compete. The WWE Universe were given the option to vote for Charlotte's temporary replacement, choosing between Lana, Becky Lynch, or Carmella.

Roode's partner came out first, and it was none other than Becky Lynch. The Lasskicker was followed by Roode, who didn't seem too worried about the partner switch. Balor and Sasha came out next, with Sasha mimicking Balor's pose.

Roode and Balor started the match off, with Roode overpowering Balor. The former Universal Champion tried to outwrestle Roode, using his speed to defeat Roode's strength advantage. The two men got back to their feet, allowing them to do their patented "Glorious" and "Too Sweet" poses.

Sasha and Becky begged to be tagged in, and Becky stayed on top of The Boss for a few minutes, countering her every move. Becky and Sasha got back to their feet, throwing up the Four Horsewomen sign and talking about Bayley.

Finn and Roode were tagged back in, with Balor's speed getting him ahead of the game this time around. Balor forced Roode to the ground, followed by a basement dropkick. Roode kicked out, and fought back against the leader of the Balor Club, slamming him on the mat repeatedly.

Roode kept Balor from his corner, holding his arm so he couldn't reach Banks. Roode then threw him into the ropes and hit him with a big boot. Finn then hit Roode with a Pele kick, and both men crawled to their corners, tagging in their partners.

Sasha and Becky picked up the pace, countering each other's moves until Sasha hit a flying meteora for a two count.

Becky and Sasha continued to trade pin attempts, both managing a few two counts. Sasha went to the top rope after catching Becky with a kick to the face. However, the former Smackdown Women's Champion went to the top to hit Sasha with a superplex.

Becky and Sasha rolled to their corners, and Balor came in with a bit more fire, catching Roode with two clotheslines and a mule kick. Roode attempted an attack from the top rope, but Balor caught him, dragging him down into a swinging neckbreaker. Becky broke up the pinfall.

Balor attempted a sling blade, but Roode countered it, almost hitting the Glorious DDT, before being backed into a corner. Balor hit Roode with a sling blade, followed by a running dropkick into the corner.

Balor tagged Banks in, who hit Bayley with another flying meteora. Banks caught Roode, diving through the ropes. However, when she re-entered the ring, Becky rolled her up for the three count. Becky and Bobby Roode pick up the win in 11:02.

Results: Bobby Roode and Becky Lynch win via pinfall

The Miz and Asuka will face off against Bobby Roode and Charlotte Flair, who will be back in time for the Mixed Match Challenge.

Cole made a point to state that Charlotte and Asuka will face off in the ring before Mania, as they will look to lock horns next week in Nashville.

Kurt Angle then made a surprise appearance in his hometown of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Angle came out to tell the crowd that while it may be Smackdown vs Raw next week, the real winners are the charities that have a chance to win $100,000 next Tuesday. Oh, it's true, it's damn true.
