The Usos(c) vs The New day - SmackDown Tag Team Championship match: WWE Fastlane 2018 winners, video highlights and analysis
Shocker of an end!
Two of the polished tag teams in the WWE faced each other yet again on the final PPV before WrestleMania. The impeccable chemistry shown by the two SmackDown teams in the past year made for some of the best tag team matches to have graced the WWE ring in years.
Fastlane was another opportunity to add on to an already impressive list. They certainly didn't disappoint. Both the teams made their respective entrances looking as focused as ever with major WrestleMania implications hanging onto the match.
Kingston and Woods represented the New Day against the twins who came prepared with the gameplan of isolating Woods.
After being on the defensive for most parts of the match, Woods finally made the hot tag to Kofi, who came in hot and hit the boom drop on Jimmy. He continued on the momentum until Jimmy hit a boom drop of his own followed by the Trouble in Paradise.
A sequence ensued in which both teams took a page out of their opponent's book and used their moves against them. Woods unleashed the superkick party on the Usos while Kofi executed a perfect frog splash.
The action shifted outside the ring as the Usos floored all three members of the New Day with a splash.
Cue...The Bludgeon Brothers' music hit and out came the two former Wyatt Family members. What followed was utter carnage. Rowan and Harper absolutely annihilated the Usos and New Day.
The Usos retain via DQ
Woods's face says it all. Rowan and Harper finally arrived and how! Triple Threat match for the SD Tag titles for WrestleMania 34 has all but been confirmed.
And Xavier Woods was said to have a spinal contusion of sorts, being taken to the hospital.
