RAW General Manager Adam Pearce made a major announcement ahead of tonight's show. This week's edition of WWE RAW will air live from Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
Tonight's episode of the red brand is shaping up to be an eventful show. A former champion is rumored to return, and Bret "The Hitman" Hart will be making an appearance as well. Ahead of tonight's show, Adam Pearce announced that the eight-person Street Fight between The Wyatt Sicks and American Made will be the opening match on WWE RAW, and the first hour of the show is commercial-free.
"We will kick off tonight with an 8-person Street Fight. It will be The Wyatt Sicks against American Made. Did I mention that the first hour is commercial-free? And oh, by the way, what would we be doing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, without the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be? That is right, Bret "The Hitman" Hart is live tonight," said Adam Pearce. [From 00:07 - 00:23]
Adam Pearce reflects on working with Bray Wyatt in WWE
Adam Pearce recently opened up about working with Bray Wyatt in the Firefly Fun House segments.
Bray Wyatt sadly passed away last August, but his memory is living on through The Wyatt Sicks on WWE RAW. In an interview with Chris Van Vliet earlier this year on the Insight podcast, the former NWA star commented on portraying Postman Pearce in the Firefly Fun House and noted that Bray Wyatt had a lot of creative freedom at the time.
"When I read [the idea of the Postman], I was like, 'This is hilarious. It's going to be funny. And what was awesome about doing the [Fun House] with him is whether or not you were working specifically or strictly off a script or not, you had a lot of creative leeway. He had all the leeway to make it as out there or as Bray Wyatt as he wanted it to be," said Pearce. [H/T: Wrestling Inc]
Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair will be defending the Women's Tag Team Championship against The Unholy Union tonight on WWE RAW, and there will be a massive Fatal 4-Way to determine Bron Breakker's next opponent for the Intercontinental Championship as well. It will be fascinating to see what else the promotion has in store for fans during tonight's edition of WWE RAW.
