WWE RAW General Manager Adam Pearce has announced a major championship match for the Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. The highly anticipated show emanates from the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, in a few hours.
WWE Intercontinental Champion Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan were in attendance for Worlds Collide. After Octagon Jr., Aero Star, and Mr. Iguana defeated Dragon Lee, Cruz Del Toro, and Lince Dorado in a Six-Man Tag Team match, "Dirty" Dom took the microphone to mock his father, Rey Mysterio, leading to a physical confrontation with Octagon Jr.
Dominik Mysterio once again grabbed the microphone and challenged the AAA star for an Intercontinental Championship match at Money in the Bank. Moments ago, Adam Pearce took to his X/Twitter account to share a video of himself making the bout official.
"It is official. Dom Mysterio defends the Intercontinental Championship versus Octagon, Jr. TONIGHT. #MITB," he wrote.

Dominik Mysterio's last championship defense was at WWE Backlash. The 28-year-old defeated Penta to retain his title thanks to interference from El Grande Americano. It will be interesting to see how Mysterio fares later tonight at Money in the Bank when he faces the former AAA Latin American Champion.
