Bayley dedicates SmackDown win to 5-time WWE champion; makes a big promise

Bayley scored her first televised win in 3 months on WWE SmackDown.
Bayley scored her first televised win in 3 months on WWE SmackDown.

Bayley took on Zelina Vega in a singles match on WWE SmackDown. She defeated her opponent after a decent match, following which she dedicated her win to a current WWE champion.

Bayley’s string of losses finally came to an end on Friday night. The Role Model took on Rosita and finally got the victory in a singles match.

Bayley and IYO SKY executed a beatdown on Vega after the win before Charlotte Flair came out to make the save. The heels were sent running, but that did not stop The Role Model from celebrating her win.

The Damage CTRL leader took to Twitter to dedicate her SmackDown win to her teammate IYO SKY. She wrote that even though her opponent was tiny, she picked up a big win on the season premiere of Friday Night SmackDown.

Bayley added that she and Dakota Kai will throw a celebration for the WWE Women’s Champion soon.

Here is what Bayley wrote on Twitter:

"THAT BIG WIN (although tiny opponent) WAS FOR YOU @Iyo_SkyWWE !!!!!! @ImKingKota and I will throw you the celebration you deserve, I PROMISE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! #DamageCTRL.”

Check out her tweet below:

Charlotte Flair will get a rematch against IYO SKY next week, thanks to the decision made by new SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis. The contest could lead to Zelina Vega’s interference, resulting in the formation of a new tag team.

Bayley scored a win on WWE SmackDown after three months

The Role Model has been appearing on weekly television to build Damage CTRL. She has also competed in some big matches regularly.

While Bayley is a former champion, she did not have the best of luck in the ring in recent months. Her victory on Friday night was her first win in three months.

Bayley’s last win also came against Zelina Vega on the July 14, 2023, episode of SmackDown. It looks like The Role Model has better luck against the 32-year-old than against anyone else on the roster.

The WWE creative team could look to give her a good boost and better bookings to repay her for giving many superstars a good rub. She could even possibly turn against SKY in the coming months to win the title as well. After all, The Role Model is among the best and most consistent wrestlers in the Women’s division.
