A Bloodline member suffered his first loss on SmackDown. A major split was teased following this loss.
Jimmy Uso restarted his feud with Solo Sikoa's group since the latter defeated him and Rey Fenix with the help of JC Mateo and Jacob Fatu to qualify for the Money in the Bank ladder match. The following week, Uso teamed with Rey Fenix and faced the team of Fatu and Mateo, but they were unable to win. On the May 30 episode of the Blue Brand, Mateo and Fatu were attacking R-Truth in the ring when Jimmy came out to make the save.
Tonight on SmackDown, Mateo faced off against Jimmy Uso in a singles match. Jimmy attacked Fatu and Mateo before the match could begin. During the match, Jimmy was in control when Jacob Fatu got up on the apron and tried to distract the former. However, JC Mateo accidentally knocked him off the apron.
This allowed Jimmy to roll up the Bloodline member to pick up the win, thereby handing JC his first-ever loss on SmackDown. Following the match, JC was furious with Jacob Fatu and blamed him for the loss, teasing a split between the group.
It will be interesting to see if the two Bloodline members will be able to put their differences aside in the future.
