On RAW tonight, WWE announced the brackets for the 2025 King & Queen of the Ring Tournament. The promotion also announced Asuka's big return after 13 months of hiatus, with the former Women's Champion set to compete in the tournament.
WWE Superstar Charlotte Flair is one of Asuka's biggest opponents. The two female stars are pretty close in real life, though. The Queen sent a one-word message following WWE's announcement.
"Empress."

Much like Charlotte Flair, the WWE Universe can't wait to see the return of The Empress of Tomorrow on next week's edition of the red brand. Asuka, Ivy Nile, Raquel Rodriguez, and Stephanie Vaquer will compete in a Fatal Four-Way match with the winner advancing to the second round of the tournament.
At Backlash France last year, Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill took on Asuka and Kairi Sane in a WWE Women's Tag Team title match. In the end, Belair and Cargill defeated Asuka and Sane to become the new WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Asuka went on hiatus shortly after, due to a knee injury for which she underwent successful surgery.
