Chelsea Green dropped a major prediction following her big win on WWE SmackDown. However, one of her rivals in the Women's United States Championship Tournament, Michin, shut it down immediately.
On Friday's episode of SmackDown, Green defeated Blair Davenport and Bianca Belair to advance to the next round of the Women's United States Title Tournament. She got a timely assist after Belair left the match to tend to Jade Cargill, who was attacked backstage.
In a video uploaded by WWE on Instagram, the Canadian star sent a message to her fans while working out on a bike. She predicted herself as the first United States Champion, with the final set to take place at Saturday's Night Main Event on December 14.
"I'm sure you all saw the amazing victory I had. Future United States Champion amongst you all, and I know you're all busy sending me like DMs, kind words, texts, emails, flowers, all the things that the future United States Champion deserves. But I'm too busy to check them 'cause you can see a future United States Champion doesn't do what other girls do. I don't like to go for cocktails or whatever the other girls do. I get to work, so here were are working, working, working. 22 days, baby. Red, white, and green," Green said.
Chelsea Green is set to face Bayley in the next round of the tournament, and if she wins, she'll advance to the final.
Michin responds to Chelsea Green, shuts down her prediction
One of Chelsea Green's recent rivals was not impressed with her prediction on Instagram. Michin, who defeated Green in a Dumpster Match on the October 4 edition of SmackDown, commented on WWE's Instagram reel featuring the former IMPACT Knockouts Champion.
"No," Michin wrote.
For those who don't know, WWE taped the November 29 episode of SmackDown last Friday. Michin competed in one of the Triple Threat matches and defeated Piper Niven and Lash Legend.
Jade Cargill was supposed to be part of the match, but her injuries prevented her from competing. Legend took her place although she failed to get the victory. Michin is set to face the winner of the final first round Triple Threat match involving Naomi, Tiffany Stratton, and Elektra Lopez.
