Indi Hartwell first made a name for herself in NXT, where she aligned herself with Candice LeRae and Johnny Gargano to form The Way. During this time, she was involved in a romantic angle with Dexter Lumis, which was loved by the fans.
After being in NXT for several years, she finally won the NXT Women's Championship. Shortly after winning the title, she was called up to the main roster. However, she struggled to find her way initially and reunited with Candice LeRae. Together, they made sporadic appearances on WWE TV but weren't featured in any prominent storylines until recently, when they were feuding with Bayley and Naomi.

If ever given a chance to change a storyline, Sunil would have booked Roman Reigns to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania streak instead of Brock Lesnar. According to him, The Tribal Chief needed the victory more than Brock Lesnar, as the latter was already an established performer when he defeated ‘Taker. He would’ve also made that as Taker’s final match.
