On the latest edition of Colt Cabana’s podcast Art Of Wrestling, Cody Rhodes was the guest.

Talking about his career, life, and everything else, he brought up his former OVW Tag Team partner, Tye Dillinger. He said that he constantly wants to tweet in support of Dillinger but is afraid to because of his standing in the company. He said

“Greatest human being alive. Still in developmental. He's in developmental.

I'm afraid of… all the time I want to tweet stuff about Tye Dillinger and I'm afraid if I do, someone will be like, because I'm not in the best graces with the office currently, I'm afraid someone will be like, because of my love of him”

Cody also stated that his father, the late Dusty Rhodes would always write in his reports that Dillinger was ready for the main roster. He wrote that about Dillinger in his fifth year at developmental, and constantly wondered what he was still doing there.

Dillinger has been in developmental since 2006. For four years between 2009-2013, he was on the independent circuit, but he got a second shot at WWE, where he developed the ‘Perfect Ten’ gimmick that has helped get him over.

Cody Rhodes and Tye Dillinger have a history together in OVW (Ohio Valley Wrestling), one of WWE’s old developmental territories. In 2005, Dillinger, then known as “Shawn Spears” was in a tag team with Cody Rhodes and they were even OVW Southern Tag Team Champions at one point.

Later on, they feuded with each other for the OVW Television Championship.

Cody then said that fans should support Dillinger by cheering for him at live events and that fans needed to give him everything because he will give it back.

It was rumoured a week ago that Tye Dillinger was one of the names who will likely be called up to the main roster after Wrestlemania 33, if not immediately after. It will be the first time Dillinger will get a shot at the main roster on Raw or Smackdown Live.

He was in ECW for a brief period between 2008-2009 but was used as an enhancement talent there as well. His time in ECW and OVW was briefly touched upon in the promo package for his match against Bobby Roode at NXT Takeover: Toronto:
