Disco Inferno recently talked about the reports of a 54-year-old WWE veteran's potential move to AEW. The veteran being referred to is none other than Shane McMahon.

Shane O'Mac started his career in his father, Vince McMahon's company as a referee in 1988. He then adopted a backstage role within the company in the early 90s, before making his first on-screen appearance as an executive in 1998. McMahon soon shifted his career to an in-ring performer and went on to make a huge name for himself by feuding with several top names, including Kane. However, Shane's WWE contract reportedly ended in 2024 and he is no longer a part of the company.

Following this, another report came to light, that suggested AEW CEO Tony Khan had a meeting with Shane McMahon to discuss the latter's potential move to the company. However, nothing has been confirmed as of today.

During a recent edition of Keepin' It 100 OFFICIAL, a fan highlighted how AEW was reportedly losing to WWE in ratings and people believed that things would get better for All Elite Wrestling if Shane McMahon joined the company.

However, Disco Inferno was completely against this belief, saying that he thought Shane O'Mac did not bring up World Wrestling Entertainment's ratings either with his appearances, and nothing would change if he joined the Tony Khan-led promotion.

"What would Shane do? I mean whenever Shane [McMahon] appears in WWE, not like he's a ratings boom or anything. What? Is he going to wrestle? He's going to wrestle Will Ospreay? [Laughs]," Inferno said. [1:20 - 1:29]

Konnan does not believe former WWE star Shane McMahon can "turn it around" for AEW

During the same podcast, Konnan said that he did not believe Shane McMahon's potential move to AEW could turn things around for them.

"This is like the Titanic, this is a ship that's gonna hit an iceberg sooner or later and there's nothing Shane [McMahon] can do to turn it around. Especially if Tony doesn't want to relinquish power," Konnan added. [1:42 - 1:56]
