Wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell is impressed with how WWE is booking the feud between Pat McAfee and Austin Theory ahead of their match at WrestleMania 38.

This week, Austin Theory again came to SmackDown to upstage McAfee. He slapped the announcer once again, but this time the latter retaliated. He attacked Theory and beat down the RAW Superstar.

Dutch Mantell was on this week's episode of Smack Talk to review this week's episode of the Friday Night Show. The veteran praised McAfee for selling his emotions when he got into a brawl with Austin Theory, saying his facial expressions were better than most superstars in the business.

Here's what Dutch Mantell had to say:

"He sells his emotions and you get it. You know, a lot of guys do that but your face is not telling the story. He told the story and what I liked about it is they took him off the show... And I liked that they sent some people to separate him... They sent a couple of agents out there, maybe a ref or two and they pulled them apart, which is what would've probably happened. That was a staple of older wrestling. You can't expect these guys to get in the ring, look at each other and not fight. Because the business is fighting. So you've got to put a barrier up there and you got to put somebody to pull them apart." (from 41:21 onwards)

Pat McAfee was escorted out of the arena

Things heated up quickly as Pat McAfee and Austin Theory came to blows at ringside. After the two brawled at ringside, several WWE officials rushed to separate the two men.

McAfee's broadcasting partner Michael Cole also chastised him and told him not to lose his calm. After the encounter, McAfee walked off, and Cole called the last match of the night by himself.
