WWE News: "Elimination Chamber" returning next year

Will Elimination Chamber be a Raw or Smackdown Live  PPV?

Tonight on the kickoff show of No Mercy, WWE posted a promotional package of Pay-Per-Views on the Network, and it showed the upcoming PPVs. From the 37:52 mark is where they start showing the PPVs and 37:55 is when Elimination Chamber is shown

Now, this will be interesting to see which brand the Elimination Chamber will be assigned to. The first thought in mind would be Smackdown Live since Raw is getting Hell In A Cell this month. However, it is still unclear at this moment, since Smackdown Live will be getting TLC.

Elimination Chamber will be between Royal Rumble and Fastlane, which means that it will most likely take place early February. It will be the last stop for whichever brand it is exclusive to before Wrestlemania. So far, the upcoming Pay-Per-Views are as follows:Hell In A Cell – October 30th, 2016(Raw exclusive)Survivor Series – November 20th, 2016(Dual-branded)TLC – December 4th, 2016(Smackdown Live exclusive)Roadblock – December 18th, 2016(Raw exclusive)Royal Rumble – January 29th, 2016(Dual-branded)Elimination Chamber – TBA(TBA)Fastlane – TBA(TBA)Wrestlemania 33 – April 2nd, 2016(Dual-branded)Payback – TBA(TBA)Extreme Rules – TBA(TBA)Money In The Bank – TBA(TBA)The above is how the schedule will look like for the next 8 months or so. It is not only Wrestlemania that is exciting but the road to Wrestlemania can be equally exciting, if not more. That is why January to April is vital.

As mentioned, Elimination Chamber and Fastlane will be the final PPV stops before Wrestlemania 33. The February PPVs is where the challengers and champions for the World and Universal Championships heading into Wrestlemania 33 will be decided.

As of now, Kevin Owens and AJ Styles are the top champions of Raw and Smackdown Live exclusively, but all that could change between now and February.

As seen this year, injuries can make a huge difference in the plans. Several matches that may already be penned in would be forced to change due to such injuries. We can only hope at this point that the injury plague doesn’t affect WWE like it did from November last year until April this year.
