The Ultimate Warrior was one of WWE's most popular superstars in the late 1980s and early 1990s. In a recent podcast episode, Dennis Knight (fka Mideon) expressed his hope that Jade Cargill does not become a female version of the controversial star.

Warrior's biggest career moment came in 1990 when he beat Hulk Hogan in the WrestleMania 6 main event to win the WWE Championship. While the WWE Class of 2014 Hall of Famer amassed a large fanbase, he was often criticized for his bad attitude and lack of in-ring ability.

Knight worked for WWE between 1996 and 2001. On The Undertaker's Six Feet Under w/Mark Calaway podcast, the 55-year-old said he does not want Cargill to be known for her physique like Warrior:

"Gunther and Drew [McIntyre] are my two favorite [wrestlers]," Knight stated. "The storylines, finally, with Hunter [Triple H] running everything, the storylines are getting better. Cargill just needs to listen a little bit more. She looks like a million bucks but I don't wanna see her turn into like a Warrior kinda thing, you know?" [40:37 – 40:58]

Cargill has been booked carefully by WWE's creative team since joining the company in 2023. The 32-year-old made a big impact in the Women's Royal Rumble match, earlier this year, by eliminating Nia Jax. She also held the Women's Tag Team Championship with Bianca Belair for 42 days.

Dennis Knight's memories of traveling with The Ultimate Warrior

It is well known that The Ultimate Warrior took his wrestling persona seriously. In 1993, the former WWE star even legally changed his name from Jim Hellwig to Warrior.

Dennis Knight recalled how he once saw confirmation of The Ultimate Warrior's real-life name change on a credit card:

"I checked into a hotel room in San Francisco with Warrior next to me. He pulls out his credit card and it said, 'Mr. Warrior.' I was like, 'Are you f***ing serious? Seriously?' But, seriously, we all knew Jim," said Knight. [41:18 – 41:34]

In 2014, Warrior passed away at the age of 54 after suffering a heart attack. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame three days earlier at the start of WrestleMania 30 weekend.
